How to apply for a grant

      • The Li Tim Oi Foundation gives grants to Christian women in the Two Third’s World who are members of an Anglican Church.

      • We usually give grants to women being trained for positions of leadership and influence for which their diocese or other place of work will employ them.

      • If the application is for a position in a diocese, then we request the signature of the Bishop who will employ the applicant after her course is completed.

      • If the application is for a position not within a diocese but, for example, within an educational institution, local authority or other organisation, then we request the signature of the person who will employ the woman after the course is completed. We refer to this person as the ‘Sponsor’.

      • Our grants are usually for vocational training, such as for ordained and lay ministries and for work in communities that brings about positive change for otherWe sometimes consider applications for higher academic training.

      • We do not usually make a grant for a course that has already started. We also cannot guarantee that every application will be successful in receiving a grant.

      • After we agree to give an initial grant, we give repeat grants each year for the remainder of the course, as long as we receive satisfactory progress reports.

      • IMPORTANT INFORMATION: THE GRANT IS PAID DIRECTLY TO THE TRAINING
INSTITUTION. WE DO NOT SEND FUNDS DIRECTLY TO THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT.

      • We request to know that an applicant can find funding for the total cost of the course, if our grant does not cover the total cost.

      • We give grants for applicants to attend an institution within their own geographical area. In exceptional circumstances, we may consider giving a grant for an applicant to study in another country.
