Christina Rees is a writer, broadcaster and communications consultant. She is also a lay minister and part-time school chaplain. Christina was a member of the General Synod of the Church of England for 25 years, and a founder member of the Archbishops’ Council, the body that advises the Archbishops of Canterbury and York on matters of policy and resources. For many years she was Chair of WATCH, the leading group campaigning for women bishops. Christina is a trustee of Bible Society, the Church Urban Fund and the Horstead Centre. She holds a MA in Women and Religion from King’s College London and is an Honorary Fellow of Ripon College Cuddesdon and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts. In 2015 Christina Rees was awarded a CBE for ‘services to the Church of England’.
